Casino Nite: the latest Foundation success
On Nov. 14, 2009 the Point Pleasant
Foundation for Excellence in Education
hosted a new event --Casino Nite. Held
at the Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant
Beach, the event attracted more than
100 area residents and raised
approximately $4,000 for the Foundation,
which will be applied to scholarships,
recognition awards and towards the
purchase of new equipment for the Point Pleasant Boro school system.
Casino Nite featured 13 gaming tables offering such games as
blackjack, craps, let it ride, money wheel, Texas hold 'em and roulette. In
addition, the Foundation awarded more than 100 donated prizes.

The Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in Education will hold its
signature event, the Hall of Fame dinner, on Friday March 12 at the
Crystal Point in Point Pleasant. During the event the following Point
Pleasant Boro High School alumni will be inducted into the school's
Hall of Fame:

and Richard Morris. The 2010 student leader

Chamber of Commerce to award Foundation
The Point Pleasant Chamber
of Commerce has selected
the Foundation to receive its
prestigious Leadership
Award for Service to the
Community. The award will be officially bestowed during the Chamber's
2010 Leadership Awards and Installation Dinner and Dance, Saturday
Feb. 27 at the Crystal Point in Point Pleasant. During this event
Foundation Committee member Ed Gilmore will receive the Chamber's
Lifetime Leadership Award.
