Casino Night: the latest Foundation success
On Nov. 14, 2009 the Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in
Education hosted a new event --Casino Night. Held at the Lobster
Shanty in Point Pleasant Beach, the event attracted more than 100 area
residents and raised approximately $4,000 for the Foundation, which will
be applied to scholarships, recognition awards and towards the
purchase of new equipment for the Point Pleasant Boro school system.
Casino Nite featured 13 gaming tables offering such games as
blackjack, craps, let it ride, money wheel, Texas hold 'em and roulette. In
addition, the Foundation awarded more than 100 donated prizes.
The Committee plans to host the event again in 2010 -- details will be
posted as soon as they are available.

2010 Triathlon dates: Sept. 25 and 26
The 2010 Treasure Island Sprint Triathlon
(7th annual) is scheduled as follows:
The Kids Triathlon (ages 7-14) will be held
Saturday, Sept. 25 at 5 pm.
The Kids Clinic will be held Saturday,
Sept. 18 at 5 pm at Riverfront Park, Point
Pleasant, NJ.
The Swim Triathlon and Kayak Triathlon will be held on Sunday Sept
26, starting at 8:45 am (Swim) and 9:15 am (Kayak), at Riverfront Park.
To register, please fill out the Triathlon Registration Form and mail to the
Foundation along with your fee (instructions are on the form -- a link for
online registration will be posted here soon). Optional Registration
Packet Pick-Up will be available on Saturday, Sept 25 at Riverfront Park
from 3-5 pm. Registration and Packet Pick-Up will also be available
before the races on Sunday, Sept 26 from 6:30-8:30 am.
