Boro’s Finest
Each year, the Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in Education celebrates the dedication and achievements of teachers, students, and staff through its annual Boro’s Best program.
As an organization committed to supporting the Point Pleasant School District, the Foundation recognizes Teachers of Special Recognition from each of the district’s four schools. These outstanding educators are honored for their commitment to innovation, creativity, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of their students.
As part of the program, the Foundation awards four $2,500 grants to individual teachers or teams of educators who submit proposals for special programs and projects that fall outside the district’s traditional funding sources. These grants help bring new ideas to life and provide enhanced learning opportunities for students throughout the district. In addition, the Foundation proudly awards $1,000 Leadership Grants to deserving Point Pleasant Borough High School seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to their school and community.
Boro Bikes and Backyard BBQ
Founded in 2015, the Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in Education's annual Boro, Bikes & Backyard BBQ has become one of the community's favorite fundraising traditions.
This unique event features a self-guided bicycle tour through some of Point Pleasant's most beautiful backyards, allowing residents to enjoy the final days of summer while exploring their hometown. Along the way, participants stop to sample delicious food from local restaurants and businesses, enter to win exciting raffle prizes, and connect with friends and neighbors.
More than just a fun day on two wheels, Boro, Bikes & Backyard BBQ brings the community together in support of the Foundation's mission to enhance educational opportunities for Point Pleasant students and teachers. Every ride helps raise valuable funds that are reinvested in programs, grants, and initiatives that benefit our schools.
Hall of Fame
Every five years, the Foundation hosts a special evening dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of Point Pleasant Borough High School alumni and recognizing an outstanding community member. More than just a dinner, this signature event honors individuals whose accomplishments, leadership, and commitment embody the spirit and success of our community. As part of the celebration, these distinguished honorees are inducted into the Foundation's Hall of Fame, ensuring their legacy continues to inspire future generations of Point Pleasant Borough students.
Triathalon
The DQ Treasure Island Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, and Kayak Triathlon is an annual community event held at Point Pleasant’s Riverfront Park that brings together athletes, families, and supporters for a day of competition and camaraderie.
Each year, this exciting event raises funds in support of the Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in Education, helping further the Foundation’s mission of enhancing educational opportunities for students and teachers throughout the district. Through the generosity of participants, sponsors, and volunteers, the event continues to make a meaningful impact while celebrating fitness, community spirit, and support for Point Pleasant schools.
